Children 5-12 years old

Our school-age program provides a safe and enjoyable space for children before and after school, as well as during school breaks. Transportation is available to Adams, Chestnut Hill, Plymouth, and Siebert Elementary, with bus service for Carpenter Preprimary (developmental kindergarten age only) and Central Park Elementary students. Children engage in arts and crafts, group games, and social activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and friendship. The program emphasizes Christian values, helping children grow in respect, responsibility, kindness, and a sense of community.

Genell Prather,
sCool Age Lead Teacher

Genell has been an integral part of Heaven’s Elect since 2016, working closely with our school-age children. She supports the philosophy of ’embrace the madness,’ a belief that children should be free to make messes, be loud, and fully enjoy their childhood. At the same time, she understands the importance of teaching responsibility. Genell is confident that school-age children can strike a balance between fun and accountability when teachers set clear, simple, and fair limits, all while maintaining consistency.

Before joining our team, Genell spent years as a stay-at-home mom, a role that has honed her nurturing skills. She volunteered her time in her son’s elementary school, creating some of her most cherished memories, such as reading to children, planning classroom parties, and supervising field trips.

Outside of the classroom, Genell enjoys spending her free time relaxing in the sun, camping, baking, crafting, and enjoying quality moments with her husband and son.
